SEARCH

What if I'm getting too few results?
Try expanding your search. For instance, de-select a car’s year or color to get more results. Perhaps you spelled a word wrong or added a search criteria such as 'no people' and you can deselect that.

What if I’m getting too many results?
Try narrowing the search. If you keyed in a word such as ‘car’, this will yield a lot of results. Try narrowing your search to a model year, a make or perhaps a color to get closer and more definitive results back.

Why can’t I find what I’m searching for?
Are you searching within a previous search? If so, clear your search and try again. If you are still not finding the images you require, send us a request at info@driveimages.com and let us know what you seek. Include type of image, style, color and any other details that may help us find what you need. We will create a lightbox of images and email this to you.

Can I have someone help me with my search?
Yes and there is no charge for this experienced service. You can submit a search request to info@driveimages.com and we will assist you with your search.

Can I search without being registered?
Absolutely without restriction! However, to create lightboxes , download comps and other advanced site features, you should register via our simple routine. You also get more advanced views of images in the Drive Images collection when registered. There is no cost associated to register at Drive Images site.

There is no date stamp for your lightboxes and they will exist on our site until you decide to delete them.

How many Lightboxes can I have? How many images per lightbox?
You may have as many lightboxes as you wish, and each lightbox can have an unlimited number of images. The number of images in a lightbox will dictate the retrieval speed on our site, so housekeeping is always a good thing to pay attention to.

How do I add lightboxes?
Click on the "Lightbox" link in the main menu. Name your lightbox in the “Create a new lightbox” box. Click the Create button. Your new lightbox is now created and is selected as your current lightbox as shown in the “Select a lightbox” pull-down menu.

RELEASES

What releases do you provide with your images?
You can view the release status on the image selected ‘detail’ page.

There are Logos/Badging on the cars in your images. Can I still use these images?
In most licensing situations no additional permissions will be required. Our photographs were created with the cooperation of the automobile manufactures and were photographed with their permission. The AIL automobiles that we shoot are not owned by any individual car owners, so no permission is required from any individual auto owner. The manufactures of these automobiles do not object to the use of their cars in most commercial uses, provided the photographs are not used in a manner that is derogatory, attempts to support another product or depicts an automobile in an unfavorable manner. Because the shape of some cars, or other identifying features could serve as a trademark or be protected by trade dress, additional permission may be necessary if the use of the photograph and the associated text or other content gives the impression that a particular automobile manufacturer is endorsing, sponsoring or is some how affiliated with the product or services offered by the user.
If the photograph depicts the use of a car as part of some life style activity, and is not a “product” shot, the likelihood that the use implies any trademark association is lessened. If you are unsure about the use please seek competent advice. Drive Images can assist you by requesting additional permissions from the manufacturers upon your request.
